This year Daybreak Middle School ASB is selling tickets to Optimus Kids Day at Oaks Park in support of children's cancer.  The Optimus Kids Day at Oaks Park is on June 25, 2016.  All ages are welcome.  The tickets for this event will be on sale in the middle school office May 18th through May 27th.  The cost is $15.00 per person, which includes a hamburger OR hot dog lunch (please indicate which), a full day ride ticket, and roller skating.  Please make checks payable to Daybreak Middle School ASB.   Please call 360-885-6900 if you have any questions.

2016-2017 Spring Class Placement for primary school students:

There are parent Request for Learning Environment Forms available in our DBP Office. We do not take specific teacher requests as we work hard to build balanced classes and learning environments for all students. Parent input is valued and taken into consideration as we work through placing our students into the next grade.

Greetings Daybreak Families!

Washington’s Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) is scheduled for April and May for third through eighth grade students. As with any educational activity, we thank you for working together with us to help our students be successful. The Smarter Balanced Assessment will give us important information about how our students are learning so we can adapt education to make sure it delivers the skills students need for life beyond high school. Please encourage your children to do their best and get the rest they need to be prepared for testing days.


3rd grade windows are April 13-22 English Language Arts and May 9–13 Math

4th grade windows are April 25-29 English Language Arts and May 23-27 Math 

5th - 8th graders will be assessed on 4/27, 5/4, 5/13, 5/18 

The Smarter Balanced Science Assessment will be on Friday, May 20th, for fifth and eighth graders only

Dear Daybreak Families,

In accordance with Washington State law,(RCW 28A.230.070) Battle Ground Public Schools offers instruction in HIV/AIDS prevention to all students in grades 5-12.  These materials have recently been revised and new information has been added which was not included in the old KNOW materialsOne requirement of this law is that parents who want to excuse their children from this instruction must preview the curriculum and materials that will be used for these lessons.
