Kindergarten Registration Now Open !

Online enrollment is open for 2018-19 kindergartners (Class of 2031, can you believe it?). Any child who will be five years old before Sept. 1, 2018 is eligible to enter kindergarten in the fall. To enroll, parents will need proof of their child's birth date (such as a birth certificate) and a signed and completed Washington state Certificate of Immunization Status form.

Have your requirement documents ready and enroll online now so that you and your child can attend our kindergarten orientation in the spring.

1-2-3 GROW !
Beginning February 5th ESD 112 will host a weekly 1-2-3 GROW program for children from birth-age 5 at Daybreak Primary.  The program is designed for children and their parents to participate together.  Children will have opportunities to socialize, meet new friends, and grow with school readiness activities. The program will be held on Mondays from 9:30-11 a.m. at the primary school. No registration is required.

DBM Walk-a-Thon - June 1st

Alright DBM Dragons, its time for the great Annual Dragon Walk-A-Thon. We are benefiting the American Cancer Society again - 25% of all proceeds go to ACS. Its a bit different this year: no counting laps or tracking sheets. 

All donations sponsor a specific student, and it's ALL ONLINE. Click the link below to donate. Feel free to share. Walk-A-Thon is on June 1st and the donation link is open until June 9th. Help us raise money for both Daybreak ASB and the American Cancer Society.

Smarter-Balanced State 

Standardized Testing in May

Please check the schedule below for when your child will be testing.  It's helpful for
students to get a good night's sleep prior to the test and a good breakfast the day of the test to help your child do his/her best.  Students have been working hard all year to learn the content, so student's don't need to stress about testing - just doing their personal best is awesome!

* It's best to plan around the testing schedule for any appointments, if at all possible, and to arrive to school on time.
  • Tues, May 8th: 5th-8th grades
  • Thurs, May 10th: 5th-8th grades
  • Tues, May 15th: 5th-8th grades
  • Thurs, May 17th: 5th-8th grades
  • Fri, May 18th: 8th grade only
  • Thurs, May 24th: 5th grade only

HIV/AIDS Prevention Curriculum Preview Night (& Opt Out Procedure)

It’s almost that time of year again - HIV/AIDS Prevention curriculum in the classroom!


The curriculum preview & opt-out instructions are up year-round on the district website. You are invited to preview the materials in one of three ways:


     1.) Anytime on the district website at:


     2.) On Tues., October 24, 2017 at Maple Grove K-8 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM in the library/media center.


     3.) Anytime in person in the middle & high school offices.


Parents may opt their child/children out of this curriculum teaching if they wish, either using the online form or by requesting a form in their school office (printed form).


Reminder: If you've opted out 1 or more children before, you don’t need to again. Your family will remain opted out unless we are instructed otherwise.
